Americas: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, United States of America.

Asia: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Brunei Darussalam, Georgia, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Tajikistan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates.

Europe: Andorra, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Vatican City.

Oceania: Australia, New Zealand.

The permitted length of stay varies by nationality and is determined by bilateral agreements and immigration regulations in force at the time of entry.

Cost

Visa fees vary depending on nationality and visa type; however, the standard tourist e-Visa for Uzbekistan costs US$20 and is payable online during the application process.

Validity

Visa validity for Uzbekistan depends on the type of visa issued and the traveller's nationality. Tourist visas, including e-Visas, are generally valid for entry within 90 days from the date of issue and allow a stay of up to 30 days per visit.

Transit

Uzbekistan offers a visa-free transit stay of up to five days for citizens of a large number of countries when transiting by air, subject to specific conditions such as holding a confirmed onward ticket to a third country.

Application to
Working days

Uzbekistan e-Visas are typically processed within three working days from the date of application.

Compulsory registration

All foreign visitors to Uzbekistan are required to register their place of stay within three days of arrival. Saturdays and Sundays are included in this period. If you travel to another city and stay there for more than three days, you must register again at your new location.

Visitors staying in hotels are usually registered automatically by the hotel staff. Those staying in private accommodation must be registered by their host, either at the local district OVIR office or through the electronic registration system Emehmon. Tourist tax is generally included in hotel bills, while private hosts are responsible for paying the tax on behalf of their guests.

Travellers staying in camper vans, tents or other non-registered accommodation must register themselves via the Emehmon system within three days of arrival. A tourist tax is charged for each day of stay and is payable during registration. Payment is currently accepted online using an Uzbek debit card in local currency.

Visitors may be required to present proof of registration for the entire duration of their stay when departing Uzbekistan. Failure to register or to account for accommodation history may result in fines for each unregistered day and, in serious cases, further penalties.
