Best time to visit

Given the plethora of activities available in all seasons, Queenstown is very much a year-round destination. Winter and spring (June to October) is popular with skiers and snowboarders, and for the Lindauer Queenstown Winter Festival. Although the International Jazz festival in October is probably Queenstown’s most celebrated event. Winter temperatures vary between -2°C (28°F) and 8°C (48°F) while summer temperatures are typically between 20°C (69°F) and 30°C (86°F), with the sun setting as late as 2200.
