Lietuvos Gelezinkeliai (tel: +370 7005 5111; www.litrail.lt) runs Lithunia's well-developed rail network. International services connect Vilnius with Minsk, Belarus, with onward connections to Moscow, St Petersburg and Warsaw.
Driving to Lithuania
Lithuania has direct road connections to Latvia, Belarus, Poland and the Russian exclave Kaliningrad.
Getting to Lithuania by boat
Main ports: Klaipeda is connected by trade routes with foreign ports. It also has a cruise-ship terminal.
DFDS Seaways (tel: +44 871 522 9955, in the UK; www.dfdsseaways.co.uk) runs ferries from Klaipeda to Karlshamn, Sweden (journey time - 13 hours) and between Klaipeda and Kiel, Germany (journey time - 21 hours).
