Flying to Iraq

Iraqi Airways (www.iraqiairways.com.iq) fly from London Gatwick to Baghdad. Iraqi Airways also operates flights between Baghdad and all regional cities.

There are now regular scheduled direct flights on an increasing number of international and regional airlines into Baghdad, Basra, Irbil and Sulemaniyah.

Lufthansa (www.lufthansa.com) flies to Erbil from Frankfurt or Vienna.

The major airport is: Erbil International Airport.

Flight times:

Average flight time from London to Baghdad International is 5 hours 35 minutes; New York - 15 hours (including stopover).

There is no departure tax.
