Travel by rail
A number of Amtrak (tel: 1 800 872 7245, in the USA only; website: www.amtrak.com) routes pass through the state, including a daily New York-Miami (via Orlando). The 'Piedmont' provides a passenger train service from Raleigh to Charlotte. The station in Raleigh is located at 320 West Cabarrus Street, while the Charlotte station can be found at 1914 North Tryon Street.
