Where to stay in Saudi Arabia

Hotels

There is a good range of hotel accommodation throughout the country.

Camping

Many tour operators organise camping trips where you can soak up Saudi Arabia's great outdoors during the balmy months between December to March. This period, known as the kashta season, sees Saudis filling their car boots with tents, mats, camping chairs, portable stoves and firewood before heading out to experience Mother Nature and all its glory.

Around Riyadh, the best places to camp include Al Kharrarah Lake, Acacia Valley, Al Thumamah National Park, and the full-service Falcon International Camp.

Another great place to spend the night under the stars is at the spectacular Asir National Park, located in the southwestern corner. There are about 60 campsites around the park.
