Passports

All three countries on Borneo require visitors to hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry.

Visas

Brunei and Malaysia allow nationals of many countries to enter visa-free for tourism purposes. These include citizens of the European Union, Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Indonesia, on the other hand, only allows citizens of ASEAN member countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Timor-Leste) to enter visa-free. Citizens of the European Union, Australia, Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom are required to obtain a Visa on Arrival (VoA) or an electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VoA).
