To enter Laos, your passport must be valid for at least six months after the date you arrive and at least two blank pages.
[1] Of all the EU member states, only Luxembourgers do not need a visa to visit Laos for 15 days.
All in all, Laos allows nationals of the following countries to enter without a visa for varying durations. These countries are Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Laos offers eVisa to nationals of many countries. You can check the complete list here. Please note that eVisa holders can only enter Laos from any of the following ports/ boarding posts:
• Wattay International Airport.
• Pakse International Airport.
• Luang Prabang International Airport.
• Lao-Thai Friendship Bridges of I, II, and IV.
• Boten International Checkpoint.
• Boten Railway Station.
• Khamsavath Railway Station.
Visa fees can vary based on the applicant's nationality.
