Passports

To enter Kenya, a passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry, and with at least two blank pages, is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above.

Attention: The International Travelers Health Surveillance Form must be filled out online before entry if the traveler is suffering from symptoms that are typical of flu.
 
An electronic entry permit (eTA) (www.etakenya.go.ke/en) is required to enter Kenya for a tourist or business stay of up to 90 days, including for nationals of the countries listed in the table above. The eTA should be applied for at least 3 days before departure, but applying 2 weeks prior to traveling is recommended. However, an issued eTA does not guarantee entry into Kenya. The border officials will decide on site whether the eTA will be accepted for entry.
Visa note

Nationals of the following countries are exempted from applying to an eTA: Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.

Types and cost

Electronic entry permit (eTA): US$32.50 single entry, US$160 multiple entry.

Travellers must apply for an electronic entry permit (eTA) online (www.etakenya.go.ke/en).

Working days

At least three working days for eTA processing. It is recommended to apply two weeks ahead of traveling.

Sufficient funds

You may be required to show proof of funds, such as a credit card.

Entry with pets

If bringing a pet into Kenya, you must obtain an import licence from the embassy/ high commission.
