Kathmandu is blessed with a surprisingly vibrant dining scene, thanks largely to the culinary demands of the thousands of global-trotting trekkers who pass through every season.
You’ll find everything here from Nepal dhal bhat (rice and lentils) to Tibetan momos (dumplings), Thai curries, Korean barbecues and convincingly Italian-tasting pizzas. Most eateries are in Thamel, where the earthquake only caused limited damage.
