Airport authorities are currently midway through a 20-year development programme, which includes major improvements to the terminal building. Completed projects include a new transportation hall and a renovated arrivals area.

Driving directions

From Kingston, drive east on the A4 motorway (Norman Manley Boulevard) and follow the Norman Manley Highway from Harbour View around the harbour to the Palisadoes tombolo. Kingston Norman Manley International Airport is well-signposted from the city.

Public transport road

Bus: The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (tel: 1 888 588 2287; www.jutc.com) operates the public bus service between Kingston Norman Manley International Airport and Kingston. Bus 98 runs frequently throughout the day to the city centre (journey time: 30 minutes; fare: J$100).

Taxi: The taxi service at Kingston Norman Manley International Airport is provided by the Jamaica Union of Travelers Association (tel: (876) 924 8511 or (876) 924 8679), which has a fleet of air-conditioned vehicles ranging from sedans to large 30-seater buses. Fares start at around J$650.

There are no meeting rooms at Kingston Norman Manley International Airport.
