Road quality

Most main roads are in good condition but they are narrow and winding.

Car hire

There's a choice of several car hire companies in Grenada. In July and August (high season), you have to book cars for a minimum of three days. You usually need to be at least 25 years old to hire a car.

Taxi

Taxis are the most efficient means of transport. They are available from the airport, the Carenage and most hotels. Mandoo's Tour & Taxi Service (grenadatours.com) is a fully insured sightseeing and taxi service.

Documentation

To drive in Grenada, you have to obtain a Grenadian driving permit (for a fee) by presenting a valid national driving licence at the police station on the Carenage.

Getting around towns and cities
