Eilat sits on a major bird migration route and twice a year, the city sees thousands of birds stopping to take advantage of the fresh water lakes and salt flats in Eilat, as they prepare to cross the Saharan desert. Get your binoculars ready to witness the spectacular flight of migratory birds such as black kites and steppe eagles. No admission fee, but guided tours are available for a fee.
