Calgary International Airport Guide (YYC)
Serving Calgary and the wider region of Alberta, Calgary International is among Canada’s busiest airports. Our guide to the airport includes important contact details, as well as information on airport facilities, local transportation and nearby accommodation.
The InfoCentre (tel: +1 403 735 1372 or +1 403 735 1234) can be found in both Arrivals and Departures. Curbside Ambassadors and Customer Care Ambassadors also provide assistance to meet a range of queries.
The YYC LINK Passenger Shuttle runs between the domestic and international terminals with four stations from Concourse A to Concourses D and E.
From Calgary, head east along Memorial Drive and then north on the QE2 Highway (Highway 2), which skirts the western boundary of the airport – follow the signs to the terminal.
Public Transport
Bus: Calgary Transit (tel: +1 403 262 1000; www.calgarytransit.com) runs bus 300 to the city centre, with services every 30 minutes between 0430 and midnight. Bus 100 operates from Calgary Airport to Westwinds Station. The C$10.50 fare covers all-day travel on Calgary city buses and CTrains, as well as return to the airport if travelling on the same day.
Shuttle: Allied Shuttle (tel: +1 403 299 9555; www.airportshuttlecalgary.ca) offers services to the city centre, with various pick-up/drop-off points in town. The shuttle departs every 30 minutes from bus bays 19 and 29.
The Red Arrow (tel: +1 800 232 1958; www.redarrow.ca) shuttle provides regular services from the airport to Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Fort McMurray and several other communities within Alberta. Reservations must be made in advance. The bus stops for passenger pick-up at bus bay 11.
Many local hotels also offer courtesy shuttles, while several other shuttle bus operators have connections to Banff, Jasper and a variety of other locations.
Taxi: Licensed taxis (tel: +1 403 299 1111; www.associatedcab.ca) are available 24 hours a day, with stands located outside Arrivals. Fares into Calgary start at around C$40 and journey time is 15-30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
Terminal facilities
ATMs and bureau de change are located on all levels of the terminal building, both in Arrivals and Departures.
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout Calgary International Airport. Postal services, mobile telephone hire offices and fax and photocopying facilities are available at the UPS Store on the second level (Departures). Paging services are available at the InfoCentre in International Departures.
There is a good range of places to eat at Calgary International Airport, including a food court on the mezzanine level before the security area and various restaurants and bars post-security.
There are various shops on the departures level, including bookshops, newsagents, confectioners and gift shops; while on the arrivals level there are convenience stores. The concourses also have various options, ranging from newsagents to perfume and jewellery retailers. Duty-free shopping is available for international passengers.
Lost property and baggage storage services are available at the Visitor Information Centre (tel: +1 403 735 1234) in Arrivals.
Airport facilities
A Business Centre, which includes two rooms, can be found on the second floor. Full conference and business facilities are located at the Delta Calgary Airport Hotel (tel: +1 403 291 2600; www.marriott.com), which is connected to the terminal by a covered walkway. Less comprehensive facilities are also available in airport lounges operated by Air Canada. Other lounges include two Aspire International Lounges and the Chinook Lounge, which offer complimentary refreshments and communication facilities in Concourses D/E and A respectively.
There are lifts, escalators and ramps where necessary, while TTY telephones are provided for hearing-impaired travellers and Braille signage is in place for those with visual impairments.
Parking for disabled drivers is available on levels 2 and 4 of the multistorey P1 car park and on all levels of the P2 car park.
A wheelchair-accessible taxi service to and from central Calgary is operated by Associated Cab (tel: +1 403 299 1111; www.associatedcab.ca).
Short and long-term parking is available directly opposite the terminal in the P1 and P2 car parks. Short-term parking can be found on the ground level, while long-term parking rates apply on levels 2 to 7. These car parks are connected to the terminal by a covered walkway.
Over-height vehicles are accommodated in a separate area close to the terminal, while a free of charge 'cell phone lot' is available for those meeting inbound passengers.

Car hire companies represented at Calgary International Airport include: Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National/Alamo and Thrifty. These providers are all represented on-site at the Rental Car Centre, which is opposite the terminal building, outside Arrivals.
A range of other car rental companies are also located off-site, with a courtesy shuttle provided for customers.
A 10-minute drive from Calgary International Airport, The Radisson is a luxury hotel offering spa facilities with an indoor pool, along with extensive conference and meetings facilities including a 24-hour business centre and free Wi-Fi. There is a restaurant, a wine bar, and a complimentary airport shuttle service as well as free parking for guests.
The only hotel located within the Calgary International Airport complex, the Delta Calgary Airport Hotel is within walking distance of the terminals and houses facilities including an indoor pool, fitness facilities, a restaurant and multiple parking options. Meeting rooms are also available.
Home to a grill restaurant, Sandman Hotel and Suites Calgary Airport is just five minutes from Calgary International Airport via a 24-hour shuttle bus service. The hotel has meeting and banqueting facilities for events or conventions.
A five-minute drive from Calgary International Airport, the Hilton Garden Inn provides a complimentary shuttle to and from the terminal, plus free Wi-Fi. Visitors may dine in the on-site restaurants or make use of the 24-hour fitness and business centres, as well as a meeting space for up to 100 guests.
A 10-minute drive from Calgary International Airport, the Holiday Inn Express has an indoor pool, gym, business centre and provides a complimentary breakfast. Guests have a choice of dining options with a selection of restaurants nearby.
