Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport is located 12km (7.5 miles) east of Road Town on the island of Tortola.
Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport, previously known as Beef Island Airport, is the main airport on the British Virgin Islands. The airport is situated on Beef Island, a cay linked to Tortola Island by the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge.
From Road Town, take a left onto James Walter Francis Highway, and then take Belle Vue Road to Ridge Road. Take a left onto Rte 2. Make a slight left and arrive at the airport. The total drive time to the airport from Road Town is approximately 25 minutes.
Public Transport
Taxi: Taxis are available at the airport. The Beef Island Taxi Association (+1 284 495 1982) has vehicles that can accommodate up to 27 passengers. Mini buses, luxury cars, and even open-air safari car services are available. The fare is about US$27 to Road Town. Hotels often provide courtesy shuttles to and from the airport.

Terminal facilities
Telephones and Wi-Fi internet access are available at the airport in the Departure Lounge.
There is a restaurant serving local and international food in the terminal building and an ice cream parlour.
Some small shops are located at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport, including Coconut Republic and a liquor store.
If passengers find or lose luggage, they should contact security’s lost and found (tel: +1 284 852 9000) or visit the central checkpoint in the terminal building.
Airport facilities
There are no conference or business facilities at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport, but there is a VIP lounge for business travellers. Conference spaces are available at nearby hotels.
Car parking is available directly outside the terminal building. Park for up to 30 minutes free of charge. Short-term and long-term parking options are available.

This hotel is situated on the hillside of Guana Island close to the airport. A Guana representative will meet you at customs at the airport and accompany you on the 10-minute boat ride to the island. The hotel offers a beautiful escape, and for an especially extravagant experience, customers can rent the entire island.
Just outside of Road Town on neighbouring Tortola Island, Maria’s by the Sea Hotel is a coastal hotel offering sweeping views of the nearby harbour. Facilities here include meeting and event space, a good on-site restaurant and a selection of room and suites.
