Fukuoka Airport Guide (FUK)
Fukuoka Airport serves the bustling city of Fukuoka in Japan. This Fukuoka Airport guide gives you important information regarding the airport terminals, airport contact details and the best nearby hotel options.
There are two information desks located on the first floor of the domestic terminal. They both open at 0745. The information desks in the International Terminal are on the first and third floors and open at 0710 and 0500 respectively.
A free shuttle bus is available to transfer passengers between the two terminals. The shuttle bus stops can be found directly outside the terminals.
From Fukuoka city centre (Tenjin) to the Domestic Terminal of Fukuoka Airport, take the Fukuoka Expressway and get off at the Kuko-dori Exit. Follow Kuko-dori Avenue and turn right at Kuko-kitaguchi intersection. Follow Kuko-kitaguchi until you arrive at the terminal.
To travel from Fukuoka city centre (Tenjin) to the International Terminal of Fukuoka Airport, take the Fukuoka Expressway to the Enokida Exit. Turn left at the Lolusaisen-kitaguchi intersection and follow until you arrive at the terminal.
Public Transport
Subway: A subway station can be found at the Domestic Terminal. The subway can take you to a number of different stations throughout Fukuoka and the surrounding area. International passengers should take the free shuttle bus from the International Terminal to the Domestic Terminal and then follow the signs to the subway station.
Travelling between Tenjin station, in Fukuoka city centre, and Fukuoka Airport costs 260 Japanese Yen for a single adult ticket and 130 Japanese Yen for a single child ticket.
Coach: Local buses are available from both the Domestic and the International Terminals. These buses can take you into Fukuoka and the surrounding area.
Taxi: Taxis can be found outside both of the terminal buildings. For more information, you can contact the Fukuoka City Taxi Association at +81 92 434 5100.
Terminal facilities
There are a number of ATMs and banks located in both terminals. Several currency exchange offices can also be found within the International Terminal.
A free Wi-Fi service is provided at Fukuoka Airport. An Internet Corner is available where you can use designated computers at your leisure for 100 yen per 10 minutes. Phone charging facilities are located throughout the airport. A postal service is located in the Domestic Terminal.
Both terminals at Fukuoka Airport have a number of restaurants as well as smaller convenience stores and cafes offering a range of food that includes both Western and Japanese food, snacks and drinks.
Fukuoka Airport has many shopping options including duty free, convenience stores, gift shops, souvenir shops and more.

Airport facilities
Fukuoka Airport does not have any conference and business facilities. However, Hotel Nikko Fukuoka is located a 15-minute drive away from Fukuoka Airport and offers a selection of state-of-the-art meeting and conference rooms.
Fukuoka Airport has many facilities for passengers who require extra assistance. Touch-sensitive guide boards at the major entrances of the international terminal have braille and voice guidance capabilities. The domestic terminal is going through renovations so information will be provided by vocal announcement only. Information desks within the terminals are accessible to wheelchair users, as are all elevators. Multipurpose restrooms can be found at both terminals. These restrooms are accessible to wheelchair users, the elderly and people with small children.

Parking areas are located in front of both terminals. Parking is free of charge for up to 30 minutes in either of these areas. In the Domestic Terminal parking area, parking for up to 11 hours costs 200 Japanese Yen per hour. After 11 hours and up to 24 hours, parking costs 2,400 Japanese Yen uniformly. In the International Terminal parking area, parking for up to four hours costs 200 Japanese Yen per hour. After four hours and up to 24 hours, parking costs 1,000 Japanese Yen uniformly.
Rental car reservations can be made at the information desks at each of the terminals. The rental car services offered at Fukuoka Airport include: Toyota Rentalsease Fukuoka, Nissan Car Rental Solutions, Nippon Rent-A-Car, Times Mobility Networks, Yamae Rent Lease and IDEX Auto Japan.
