Flying to Northern Territory
The Northern Territory can be reached by direct flights to Darwin from Bali, Indonesia with Jetstar (an Australian low-cost airline), Singapore with Singapore Airlines and Jetstar, and Shenzhen, China with Donghai Airlines.
There are several domestic airlines, including Airnorth, Jetstar, Qantas and Virgin Australia, that fly to Darwin from many destinations in Australia including Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
From Melbourne - 4 hours 15 minutes; from Sydney - 4 hours 35 minutes; from Singapore - 4 hours 35 minutes; from Bali - 2 hours 35 minutes.
From Europe and the USA, flights with a speedy stopover in Singapore tend to be quicker than those with a stopover in the Middle East or Far East.

Travel by rail
The main rail service to the Territory is by the Ghan from Adelaide, which travels to Darwin via Alice Springs. Apart from that, there is no internal network.
Driving to Northern Territory
There are three national highways in the Northern Territory (Stuart Highway, Victoria Highway and Barkly Highway) and nine arterial roads (Arnhem, Buntine, Carpentaria, Central Arnhem, Kakadu, Lasseter, Plenty, Tablelands and Tanami), along with a number of secondary roads. In addition, there are countless off-road tracks that snake across its vast landscape.

Main port Darwin (website: www.nt.gov.au/dpa) is the Northern Territory's only large port.
