Flying to Aruba

The national airline is Aruba Airlines (www.arubaairlines.com). The easiest way to reach Aruba from the UK is via Amsterdam with KLM (www.klm.com). Delta (www.delta.com) operates direct flights from the USA.

Flight times:

From London - 15 hours (including stopover in Amsterdam); New York - 4 hours 30 minutes.

Departure tax:

US$34.25 (flights outside the USA) or US$37.50 (flights to the USA). Departure tax is normally included in the ticket price.

Getting to Aruba by boat

Main port: Oranjestad.

Boats dock in the heart of town and it's only a five-minute walk to the centre. However, there are also taxis available on the dock itself, plus car hire companies at the port.

Many cruise ships call in on their Caribbean itineraries.
