Salt Lake City International Airport Guide (SLC)
Serving a number of domestic routes and a few international destinations, Salt Lake City International Airport is the largest in Utah. Our guide to the airport includes information regarding terminal facilities, public transport access and nearby accommodation options.
A new terminal building is currently at the planning stage, along with numerous other improvements and expansions to existing facilities.
Information is provided by airport airfield officers throughout Salt Lake City International Airport; information desks staffed by these officers are available in both terminals. Staff also provide translation services and assistance to passengers with specific needs. Tourist information (tel: +1 801 575 2400) is also available.
Interstate 80 connects Salt Lake City to Salt Lake City International Airport; the airport exit is just west of the intersection with Interstate 215. The drive time from central Salt Lake City is approximately 12 minutes.
Public Transport
Rail:The TRAX Green Line (tel: +1 801 743 3882; www.rideuta.com) connects the airport with Arena Station in the city centre (journey time: 22 minutes; fare: $2.50). Trains run every 15 minutes during the day.
Bus:The regular 453 bus service, provided by Utah Transit Authority (tel: +1 801 743 3882; www.rideuta.com), runs from Tooele to Salt Lake City with a stop on the curb outside of the Welcome Center at the south end of Terminal One.
