Facilities for disabled passengers include lifts, adapted toilets, and accessible ticket counters. There are also videophones within the terminal building for those with hearing and speech impairments.
A wheelchair service is available from the curb to the aircraft, but passengers should still inform their airline of any special assistance prior to travel.
Disabled parking spaces are located either close to lifts in the car parks or within close proximity of shuttle bus stops, and shuttle buses are suitable for wheelchair users.
There is plenty of space for parking at the airport. Valet services, long-term car parking options, short-term car parks, and a cell phone parking lot for drivers picking up passengers. Car hire companies at the airport include Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, Payless, Thrifty, E-Z, FOX, and National. Access to the rental car facility is through the parking garage, and check in is on the upper level.
The Hilton Austin Airport is the only hotel on-site at the airport and is the closest stay option to the terminal. Those staying for leisure and business are well attended to, as the Hilton provides an outdoor heated pool, restaurant, and business centre. A free shuttle service runs from here to the terminal.
Connected by a shuttle bus service to the nearby airport, the business-friendly La Quinta Inn Austin Airport offers free parking, a fitness centre and an outdoor swimming pool to its guests.
This option has sports facilities and a meeting rooms with LCD equipment for high-tech business gatherings. The mid-range Holiday Inn Express Austin Airport is also located a short 5km (3 miles) from Austin Bergstrom International Airport.
The Courtyard Austin Airport hotel provides an airport shuttle service to and from the terminal and is located 3km (2 miles) from the airport. Hotel facilities include a business centre, fitness centre and on-site dining options.
