Rochester International Airport Guide (RST)
Rochester International Airport is situated 13km (8 miles) south of central Rochester
Formerly known as Rochester Municipal Airport, Rochester International Airport is the second busiest air hub in Minnesota. Our Rochester International Airport guide includes information on terminal facilities, transportation options, nearby hotels and contact details for the airport.

From Rochester (to the north), head south on Highway 52 before turning onto Highway 63 South at exit 51. Continue along the motorway before departing at county road 16 (airport exit), and then onto Helgerson Drive, which leads to Rochester International Airport.
Coming from La Crosse (to the east), take Interstate 90 West and turn off onto Highway 63 at exit 209B. Head north about 5km (3 miles) to county road 16, and then along Helgerson Drive to the airport.
From Austin (to the west), take Interstate 90 East and turn off onto Highway 63 at exit 209A. Head north to county road 16 and then along Helgerson Drive to the airport.
Arriving from the south, follow Highway 63 North to county road 16 and take the exit to the airport.
Public Transport
Shuttle: Several shuttle services operate from the airport to the Downtown area, including Med City Transportation (tel: +1 507 282 8294) and Go Shuttle (tel: +1 507 206 7437). Shuttle services to the Downtown area cost approximately $15 per person. For assistance visit the Ground Transportation Desk in the lobby area of the main terminal building.
Taxi:Taxi services are provided by Yellow Cab Taxi (tel: +1 507 282 2222; www.yellowcabmedcity.com) and Med City Taxi (tel: +1 507 282 8294; www.medcitytaxi.com). The fare from the airport to the Downtown area is set at a flat rate of $30 per trip (plus $5 for each additional passenger). The journey time is roughly 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Terminal facilities
There is an ATM in the public area. The Home Federal Savings Bank has an office within Rochester International Airport, though Foreign Currency Exchange facilities are not available at the airport.
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the terminal complex. There are payphones in the public access area.
A restaurant, 331 Express, is located within the terminal and serves American dishes including hot dogs and burgers.
There are no shops at Rochester International Airport, but newspapers and small souvenirs are available from the restaurant.
Skycap porters are available to meet every flight and provide baggage assistance. For lost and found queries, contact the Airport Administration (tel: +1 507 282 2328).
Airport facilities
Rochester International Airport has no business or conference facilities. The nearby Rochester International Event Center (tel: +1 507 529 0033; www.rochestereventcenter.com) can accommodate meetings and conferences. A meeting room is also available at the AmericInn Rochester Airport hotel (tel: +1 507 536 7000; www.americinn.com), which is a short distance from the terminal.
The short-term parking area is located immediately in front of the terminal building. There is no limit as to the length of time a vehicle can be parked in this area, but for long stays parking is less expensive in the long-term economy parking area, which is located within easy walking distance from the terminal. Additional parking information is available from Republic Parking (tel: +1 507 282 7035).
The car hire agencies represented at Rochester International Airport include: Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National. These operators have counters in the terminal building.
Close to Rochester International Airport, the event centre and the nearby Mayo Clinic medical centre, the 72-room AmericInn features an indoor pool, meeting room and free Wi-Fi internet access.
