Three information desks (one at baggage claim, one on the second floor pre-security and one on the concourse) are manned by voluntary SRQ Ambassadors dressed in green jackets.
Sarasota Bradenton International Airport is located at the intersection of SR41 and University Parkway on the Sarasota and Manatee County line.
From Sarasota, head north along SR41 before turning onto University Parkway. From Bradenton, follow SR41 southwards and again turn off at University Parkway. University Parkway also connects to Interstate 75 at exit 213, around 7km (4 miles) to the east.
Public Transport
Bus:Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) (tel: +1 941 861 5000; www.scgov.net/SCAT) and Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) (tel: +1 941 749 7116; www.mymanatee.org) provide regular daily bus schedules from the ground transportation area at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport. SCAT bus 2 operates regularly to central Sarasota, taking about 20 minutes at a cost of US$1.25.
Taxi:Taxis are available from outside baggage claim. Diplomat Taxi (tel: +1 941 355 5155; www.diplomattaxi.com) is the official authorised airport taxi company. Fares to Sarasota start at around US$15-20.
Terminal facilities
Free Wi-Fi internet access is provided inside the terminal. There are mail drop facilities on both levels.
Food and drink outlets can be found throughout Sarasota Bradenton International Airport. There is a golf-themed restaurant (with a take-away service), a doughnut vendor and a frozen yoghurt parlour pre-security, plus two cafés post-security.
The shopping area is located on the upper floor. It includes newsagents as well as a golf accessory store and gift shops. A flower vending machine is located on the first floor, near the airline ticket counters.
Luggage trolleys (requiring a US$3 deposit) are located on the ground level, near baggage claim, and at other key areas of the terminal. A kerbside assistance service is available for those with luggage. There is a lost and found service run by the Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority Police Department (tel: +1 941 359 5200 [ext. 4256]).
Airport facilities
A conference room (tel: +1 941 359 5200) is located on the first floor of the terminal and offers space for up to 20 delegates. The Dan P McClure Auditorium (DMA) is located next to the terminal and can be used free of charge by government- or aviation-related businesses.
Short-term parking is available immediately opposite the terminal building. Long-term parking, linked to the terminal by a free shuttle service, is next to the short-term car park. Car hire companies located at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport include: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz and National. Desks are located inside the terminal at baggage claim. The car hire pick-up and drop-off area is located opposite the terminal.
The Hyatt Place Sarasota / Bradenton Airport has two small meeting rooms, free Wi-Fi internet access, a 24-hour fitness centre and an outdoor pool making it suitable for most travellers. Complimentary breakfast is provided but there is no on-site restaurant for lunch and dinner.
