Getting around Tuvalu

Air:

The only airstrip is at Funafuti. There is no internal air service.

Road:

There are a few roads, constructed from impacted coral, and several dirt tracks that span the islands.

Side of road:

Car hire:

Motorbike hire is available in Funafuti on Fakaifou Side.

Taxi:

You can hire taxis at the main wharf.

Coach:

The odd minibus takes passengers around the island.

By water:

The islands are served by a passenger and cargo vessel based at Funafuti, which occasionally calls at Suva (Fiji).
