To enter Serbia, your passport must be valid for at least 90 days after the date you plan to leave Serbia. Ensure you receive an entry stamp in your passport upon arrival, as failure to do so may result in problems and fines upon departure.
EU nationals may enter Serbia using a valid ID card or a passport.
You must register with the police within 24 hours of arrival. If you're staying in a hotel, this is usually done automatically when you check in.
If you plan to travel from Kosovo to Serbia, contact your foreign office and get the latest advice before travelling.
Nationals from countries listed in the chart above can visit Serbia without a visa for tourism purposes.
Serbia issues short-stay visa (Type C) and long-stay visa (Type D). Fees vary depending on one's nationality.
You can apply for Type C and Type D visas online via evisa.welcometoserbia.gov.rs.
Serbia is not a member of the Schengen Area, but it allows holders of valid multiple-entry Schengen visas to enter without obtaining a Serbian visa, provided:
• The Schengen visa is type C (short-stay) or type D (long-stay).
• It is valid and has been used at least once to enter a Schengen country.
• The total stay in Serbia does not exceed 90 days within a 180-day period.
Travellers to Serbia are required to have proof of sufficient financial means, thought to be €50 per day.
It is recommended that travellers have health insurance for their stay in Serbia, with a minimum coverage of €20,000.
