Best time to visit:

San Francisco does not hit any extremes nor does it fluctuate too much, so visitors feel as if it has warm winters and cool summers. High season is May to October, when temperatures average between 18–22°C (64–71°F). But it can still feel distinctly chillier, due to the fog and ocean air. Thanks to the diversity of the local landscape, there are several micro-climates – the high hills are colder and the east side is sunnier. Snowfall is rare in winter but high rainfall and windy conditions are common in December and January.
