Best time to visit

Salt Lake City is blessed with a climate where the sun shines for much of the year and temperatures never get too extreme. Summers are warm and snowy winters turn the mountains into a playground. The region is conducive to a variety of outdoor sports year-round, including hiking, mountaineering, rafting, fishing, skiing and snowboarding. International cultural event The Sundance Film Festival fills the city each January, but for nature lovers and outward-bound enthusiasts there is never a bad time to visit Salt Lake City and the surrounding country.
