There are no tourist information desks within Irkutsk International Airport. However, there are a number of tourist information offices within central Irkutsk including one located on Fridrikh Engles Street (tel: +7 3952 205 018; http://irkvisit.info).
From central Irkutsk head south easterly on Krasnokazachya Ulitsa and take a left onto Sovetskaya Street. Follow this route directly to the airport terminals. The total drive time from Irkutsk to the airport is approximately 12 minutes.
Public Transport
Tram:Trams (trams 4 and 6) connect Irkutsk International Airport to the city centre. The journey takes around 30 minutes.
Bus: Buses and shuttles running between Irkutsk International Airport and the city centre, and its railway station, are frequent and cheap (from RUB15). The journey takes about half an hour.
Taxi: Taxis are available from Irkutsk International Airport, the fare to the city centre, about 15-20 minutes away, starts at around RUB350.

Airport facilities
There is a VIP lounge offering limited business services. The 4-star Baikal Business Centre Hotel (tel: +7 3952 259 333; http://bbc.ru) provides business and conference facilities. It is located 10 minutes by car from Irkutsk International Airport, across from the Sib Expo Centre and has multilingual staff.
None of the international car hire companies have representation in Irkutsk. If you are intent on hiring a car, do so through a local travel agency.
Offering more Western-style accommodation, the Sun is about halfway between the airport and the city centre. Free Wi-Fi is included in the room rate, and rooms are en-suite. A full restaurant service is also offered.
