Weather in Quebec City

Best time to visit

Located in eastern Canada, Quebec City has warm summers, when every sidewalk café is packed with grateful sun worshippers. However, the city is better known for its infamously cold winters. Quebecers compensate by heading to the hills for some of the best skiing on this side of the continent. The highlight of the winter is the Carnaval de Québec – a lively festival that draws visitors from across eastern North America for ice sculpture contests, concerts and all sorts of other joie de vivre.
