Wroclaw-Copernicus Airport Guide (WRO)
The airport is located approximately 10km (6 miles) west of the city centre.
Wrocław-Copernicus Airport serves the city of Wrocław and the surrounding region of southwest Poland. From the city centre, take the Strzegomska road west, turning right at the roundabout after about 5 km (3 miles) onto Graniczna Road, which leads direct to the airport.
Public Transport
Bus: Bus 406 (tel: +48 71 776 71 46; www.wroclaw.pl) runs from the airport to the city centre everyday leaving from the airport every 20 minutes (journey time: 20 minutes; fare: PLN3). During the night Bus 249 replaces the 406 service.
Taxi: Taxis, operated by companies including Partner Taxi (tel: +48 71 196 27) and Taxi-Plus (tel: +48 601 700 753), are readily available outside the terminal building (journey time: 15-20 minutes; fare: PLN50-70).
Terminal facilities
There is a post office in the public area, and payphones are available. Free Wi-Fi is available for up to 60 minutes, and there are internet desks in Departures.
There is a choice of bars and restaurants both airside and landside, including a 'pub' serving snacks in the publicly-accessible top floor of the terminal.
There are convenience stores in the public area on the ground floor. Duty free is available in Departures, along with shops selling the usual range of items including souvenirs, electronic devices and fashion items.
There are no left luggage facilities at the airport. Trolleys are available to assist with transporting heavier bags. For lost luggage queries, call +48 71 358 1387.
Airport facilities
There are no meeting facilities at the airport, however there is an executive lounge in Departures, providing basic business services. Conference and meeting facilities are offered at the nearby Pałac Alexandrów hotel (tel: +48 71 373 1234; www.palacalexandrow.com.pl).
Designated disabled parking spaces are located in close proximity to the terminal building. Lifts suitable for wheelchair use are provided, as are suitable public telephones, toilets and reserved waiting areas. Help panels are strategically located to enable calls for assistance. Any passengers requiring additional assistance are advised to contract their airline before travelling.
Over 1500 parking spaces are available at Wrocław-Copernicus Airport, with both long- and short-term spaces. Discounts are offered for online booking in advance via the airport website (tel: +48 71 358 1244).
International car rental companies Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt are represented at the airport, along with several local operators. Desks are situated in the Arrivals Hall, public access area.
About 10 minutes drive west of the airport, this 5-star hotel is, as its name suggests, housed in a former palace and situated within a large green estate. It is relatively small, with just eight guest rooms in the main building, but there are more in the adjacent annexe. Facilities include a grand on-site restaurant and free Wi-Fi.
Located close to Wrocław city centre, Hotel Vega is a modern hotel of 3-star standard. On-site facilities include a restaurant, bar, and space for meeting facilities, however, it’s proximity to the city means its close to many useful amenities including tennis courts, a golf course and large shopping centre.
About halfway between the airport and the city centre, the Hotele Diament has 132 rooms, along with conference facilities, a well-equipped business centre, gym and an on-site restaurant.
