Katowice International Airport Guide (KTW)
The airport is located 30 km (19 miles) north of Katowice.

The airport is roughly a 30 minute drive from Katowice city centre. To start, take the main road S86 east, then north, out of the city. After about 16 km (10 miles) turn left on to the DW913, which leads directly to the airport.
Public Transport
Bus: The airport bus (tel: +48 32 493 1000; www.pkm.katowice.pl- in Polish only) runs regularly between the airport and the city centre railway station (journey time: 50 minutes; fare: PLN27). Buses also operate to other cities in the region, including Kraków.
Taxi: Taxis are available outside Arrivals. The official airport operator is Airport Taxi Service (tel: +48 32 786 0606; taxipyrzowice.pl/). The trip into the city centre takes roughly 30-40 minutes and costs around PLN160, depending on distance travelled.
Terminal facilities
There is a Post Office in Terminal A. Public telephones can be found in the terminal, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the departures area.
There is a good choice of restaurants, cafés and snack bars in terminals A and B including a coffee house and eatery specialising in Polish cuisine.
Duty free is available for non-EU passengers in a choice of outlets in Terminals A and B. Additionally there are gift shops, a newsagent, liquor stores and a pharmacy located in Terminal B. There are convenience stores in the public areas of terminals A and B.
Luggage storage facilities are not available at the airport. Those who believe they have lost an item in the terminal complex should report to the Lost and Found office (tel: +48 32 284 5006) in the arrivals hall.
Airport facilities
There is a conference room on the second floor of Terminal B, and in the same terminal, a VIP lounge offering business services in the Departures area post-security. Meeting and event facilities are offered by the nearby DeSilva Inn hotel (tel: +48 22 858 27 44; www.desilva.pl).
The airport is fully wheelchair accessible, with lifts and disabled toilet facilities. Designated disabled parking is available immediately opposite the terminal entrance, and there are special meeting points within the terminals for those requiring help. Passengers requiring additional assistance are advised to contact their airline before travelling.
Car parking can be booked online via the airport website. Short-term parking is in P1 close to the terminal, while a free shuttle service links P2 and the secure P3 to the terminals. There are a total of nearly 4,000 parking spaces available at the airport.
International car rental companies represented at the airport include Budget, Enterprise, and National along with numerous local operators. Most of these have desks in Terminal A, but some are located in Terminal B and in Terminal C.
Located roughly 10 minutes from the airport by car, the DeSilva is a 3-star hotel offering free shuttle services to and from the terminals. It houses a bar and restaurant, free Wi-Fi and a small 24-hour shop, along with meeting and events space.
A full-service hotel offering a free shuttle service, the Wilga (which shares ownership with the Hotel Iskra) is a 3-star hotel, with 45 rooms, conference facilities and free parking.
