Muscat International Airport Guide (MCT)
Muscat International Airport, formerly Seeb International Airport, serves the capital of Oman, and is the country's principal international gateway. Our Muscat International Airport guide includes contact details, as well as information regarding transport routes to and from the airport, terminal facilities and nearby accommodation options.
Construction of the airport’s second terminal is scheduled for completion in late 2016, over two years behind its initial 2014 opening date. Further expansion is planned for the near future.
An information desk is available near the main terminal entrance and in the arrivals hall near the baggage concourse.
Public Transport
Bus:Most hotels operate courtesy bus services to and from the airport for their guests. There are, however, public buses running along Sultan Qaboos Street with the bus stop just a short walk from the terminal. Journey time into the city centre is about 20-25 minutes.
Taxi:There is an official taxi desk (tel: +968 2434 1297) in the terminal. The 25-minute trip into the city centre costs between RO10,000-15,000.
