Passports

To enter Madagascar, a passport valid for six months after the date of entry is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above. Your passport must also have at least two blank pages for visa.

Visas

Visas for Madagascar are required by all nationals referred to in the chart above. You can either apply for an eVisa which is a single-entry visa at www.evisamada.gov.mg or obtain a 30, 60 or 90-day tourist visa on arrival at the airport in cash, using US$, Euros, or Malagasy Ariary.

Nationals not referred to in the chart also required an eVisa, unless you are from Mauritius (in this case you can visit Madagascar without a visa for up to 30 days). Any questions, please contact the embassy to check visa requirements for Madagascar.

Visa note

You can obtain a visa valid for 30 days upon arrival in Madagascar. You must pay in cash with US Dollars or Euros.

For stays over one month, you need to apply for a visa from the nearest Madagascan Embassy.

Types and cost

30-day tourist visa: 115,000 MGA or US$37 or Euro €35.

60-day tourist visa: 135,000 MGA or US$45 or Euro €45.

Validity

Short-stay tourism visa: 30, 60 or 90 days.

Working days

Allow two to five working days for visa processing.
