Abidjan Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport Guide (ABJ)
Abidjan Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport is located 16km (10 miles) southeast of Abidjan.
Also known as Port Bouet Airport, the Abidjan Felix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport is the main airport serving the Ivory Coast’s largest city, Abidjan. Our guide to the airport provides contact details and information on transport, accommodation and terminal facilities.
The domestic and international terminals are adjacent, making it easy to walk between the two.
From downtown Abidjan drive southeast on the C2, which will become Pont Henri Konan Bedie. Take a slight left onto Ech. de Marcory, then a slight right onto Boulevard Valéry Giscard d’Estaing. Turn left onto Boulevard de l’Aéroport, then follow the signs to the airport.
Public Transport
Bus: SOTRA, the Abidjan Transport Company, runs Bus 6, which operates between the airport and the city’s South Plateau Station. Purchase single trip tickets from bus drivers for 200 FCFA. Some foreign authorities consider the bus to be an unsafe transport option. Taxis are generally regarded as safer and more efficient.
Taxi: Travelers should choose orange taxis with an official fare display. The journey time to the city is 30-40 minutes, and fares start at a minimum of 5,000 FCFA.
