Passports

To enter Israel, your passport must be valid for at least six months after the date you arrive.

Passport note

Visitors entering via Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport get an entry card instead of an entry stamp in their passport. At other entry points to the country, you may get an entry card or you may get a stamp.

Keep your entry card with your passport until you leave. This is evidence that you entered Israel legally. You may need it, particularly if you're crossing into the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

Visas

Nationals of many countries, including all EU member states, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States, can visit Israel without a visa for tourism purposes. However, travellers from visa-exempt countries must obtain an electronic travel authorisation (ETA-IL) online prior to their trip. The ETA-IL permits a stay of up to 90 days and costs NIS 25. The ETA-IL processing time may take up to 72 hours after submitting the application.

Types and cost

Tourist visas are called B/2. The cost is NIS 100.

Application to

Apply B/2 Tourist visa online at israel-entry.piba.gov.il.

Working days

B/2 Tourist visa takes about 10 working days.
