A new runway has been planned, which will allow the airport to accommodate 30 million passengers each year. Planning permission extends until August 2022.

From Dublin city centre, take the M50 toll road northbound and exit onto the M1 northbound; Dublin Airport is accessible from junction 2. The total drive time to the airport from central Dublin is approximately 20 minutes.
Public Transport
Bus:Frequent local bus services operated by Dublin Bus (tel: +353 1 873 4222; www.dublinbus.ie) leave from the main arrivals road directly outside the terminals. These include the Airlink 747 and 757 express buses, which run to Dublin's main bus and rail stations (journey time: 30 minutes; fare: €7). Buses 16, 41 and 102 also serve the airport.
Coach:A number of providers operate services from Dublin Airport's coach park (on the far side of the main car park building) to numerous destinations throughout Ireland. These include the 24-hour Aircoach service (tel: +353 1 844 7118; www.aircoach.ie) to south Dublin (including most major hotels in the city).
Taxi:Taxis are available from outside the terminals. Depending on traffic, the ride into the city can take 25 to 45 minutes, and fares start at around €25.
Terminal facilities
Bureaux de change and ATMs are located throughout the terminals, both pre- and post-security. Additionally, there is a full-service bank in Terminal 1.
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout Dublin Airport. Static internet kiosks are also available in both terminals. An automatic postal service centre is located in the check-in area of Terminal 1. There is also a postbox in Terminal 2 Arrivals.
There is a variety of bars, cafés, and restaurants at Dublin Airport, the majority of which can be found in The Loop area after security. Options include a deli, fast-food outlets and eateries offering traditional Irish fare.
The many shops at Dublin Airport include duty-free outlets, gift retailers, fashion boutiques and purveyors of Irish goods – the majority of the shopping options are located in The Loop. A ‘shop and collect’ service (tel: +353 1 814 5735), for outbound customers wishing to pick up their purchases on the return leg of their journey, is offered to passengers travelling within the EU.
A left-luggage facility is available in the arrival hall of Terminal 1. A porter service is available from Greencaps (tel: +353 1 814 4633) and luggage trolleys can be used free of charge. For lost and found items, contact the Lost Property Office (tel: +353 1 814 5555).
There is a pharmacy in Terminal 2. A children’s play area can be found in Terminal 1, while baby changing facilities are available in most airport toilets. A Catholic church is located within the airport grounds and there's also a multifaith prayer room in Terminal 2. Passengers travelling to the USA can take advantage of advance US immigration and customs clearance in Terminal 2.
Airport facilities
Dublin Airport houses meeting rooms and business lounges and provides a range of business facilities, including computer access. A VIP service is also available (tel: +353 1 814 4895). The nearby Radisson Blu Hotel Dublin Airport has 27 meeting rooms, along with a fully equipped business centre and a catering service (tel: +353 1 844 6000; www.radissonblu.com).
There are lifts, intercom-connected help points and disabled parking spaces at Dublin Airport. Wheelchair transportation can be provided between the aircraft and the terminal – passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel. Further information and help for disabled passengers is available from the One Complete Solution (OCS) Reception Desk in the departures area of Terminal 1, and the OCS Main Office (tel: +353 1 944 0341).
There are short- and long-term car parks at Dublin Airport with more than 18,000 spaces available. Short-term parking can be found directly opposite the terminal buildings in multistorey car parks, while long-term parking is located on the eastern perimeter (accessed directly from the motorway) and is linked to the terminals by a 24-hour shuttle bus service. Car hire companies Avis, Budget, Dooley, Europcar and Hertz have representation in both terminals of Dublin Airport, while Enterprise and Sixt operate desks in Terminal 1. Desks are located in the Arrivals Hall of Terminal 1 and multi-storey car park of Terminal 2.
Linked to Dublin Airport by a complimentary shuttle service, the Radisson Blu Dublin Airport is a good option for those staying on business with its extensive business facilities and 27 meeting rooms. The hotel also features a bar and on-site car parking.

While not the prettiest on the outside, the budget Travelodge Dublin Airport Swords hotel is conveniently located near Dublin Airport and the Pavilions Shopping Centre. As with many hotels in the area, a bus service is provided to/from the airport for guests (for a fee), while free parking and Wi-Fi internet access are also available.
