This brew-pub has a niche line in organic beers and an environmentally aware policy. Inside, it's long mahogany bar still has bullet holes from a 1920s gangster-style shoot-out. It houses several areas, including a taproom, a beer garden and a cellar.
Cleveland Nightlife
Downtown is compact enough that it is possible to walk from bar to bar, through different neighbourhoods. The Flats Entertainment District is packed with bars, nightclubs and live music venues, most of which have a fairly mainstream atmosphere. The nearby Warehouse District has a slightly more alternative, laid-back feel. Younger crowds tend to head to Ohio City, which is slightly further from Downtown.

Bars in Cleveland
Situated in a building dating back to the 1850s, amid exposed brick walls and salvaged wood, this hip bar offers inventive hand-crafted cocktails and a cool, rustic atmosphere.
The trend for retro cocktail bars is manifested at this speakeasy-style watering hole. Bartenders serve up craft and bespoke cocktails in a sophisticated room, using house-made bitters and syrups. As high-end as drinking gets in Cleveland.
Clevelanders are nothing if not die-hard sports fans, and if you want to soak up some of atmosphere, head here on the night of any big game. There are multiple large TV screens, and a decent selection of beers on tap. They’re famous for their wings and burgers.
Clubs in Cleveland
Following the modern trend of ‘ultralounges’, this upscale joint has chic interior design and the kind of overpriced bottle service that makes the beautiful people feel good about themselves. The place attracts good DJing talent and is one of the more civilised clubs in town.
This stylish popular lounge offers freshly crafted cocktails, tasty snacks, and live music in a polished setting reminiscent of the 1920s speakeasy era.
This is another upmarket affair catered toward a more mature crowd. Its three floors (plus rooftop terrace) play dance tunes to a post-work crowd. The music definitely edges toward mainstream charts territory, but it makes for a lively atmosphere.
Live Music in Cleveland
Perhaps the best known among the many great live music spots in Cleveland is this gritty but charismatic venue. Posters and clippings hanging on the wall lend a sense of history, and some of the biggest names in alternative rock have passed through.
Part of the national chain, this well-oiled venue attracts plenty of well-known blues, jazz, pop and rock artists. There are great bar and kitchen facilities for pre- and post-concert hanging out.
Classical Music in Cleveland
The cultural heart of the city is Playhouse Square Center, a cultural complex consisting of five restored landmark theatres - the Ohio, State, Palace, Hanna and the Allen Theatres. Playhouse Square is the second largest performing arts centre in the USA, and now attracts over one million patrons every year.
The Cleveland Orchestra performs here. It also offers a popular outdoor concert series during the summer.
