Passports

A passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Cape Verde is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above.

Visas

Cape Verde grants visa-free entry to nationals of several countries, primarily within Africa, Europe, and the Americas. However, all travellers must register online (https://www.ease.gov.cv) prior to arrival and pay an airport security fee of 3,400 Cape Verdean Escudo (CVE), which can be settled online or upon arrival.

Cape Verde visa-free entry is available to citizens of the following countries:

Africa: Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) member states—Benin, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo—along with Angola, Mauritania, and Mozambique.

Europe: European Union (EU) member states, Schengen Area associated countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland), Russia, and the United Kingdom.

Americas: Brazil, Canada, and the United States.

Asia: Hong Kong, Macau, Timor-Leste, and Singapore.

Visa policies are subject to change. For the most up-to-date information, contact the nearest Cape Verdean embassy or consulate before making travel arrangements.
