Food and drink

All mains water on the islands is distilled from seawater and is safe to drink. Bottled mineral water is widely available. Milk is pasteurised and dairy products are safe for consumption. Local meat, poultry, seafood, fruit and vegetables are generally considered safe to eat.

Other risks

Outbreaks of dengue fever occur in the area. Vaccination against hepatitis B and tuberculosis is sometimes advised.
