Bus: Several buses connect the airport to various places in Dhaka. The Airport bus station is by the Airport Station Parking (West), which is on the other side of the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway. The distance is about 1 km (0.62 mi), via the Airport Garden roundabout.
Taxi: A taxi desk is available at the International Arrivals. Passengers can also walk towards the bus station (on the other side of the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway) to catch a three-wheeler taxi. Negotiate a price before getting in a three-wheeler taxi.
Ride sharing: Uber and Pathao are available.
Terminal facilities
An ATM and a currency exchange counter are available in the Departures area.
A bank and a currency exchange counter are available in the Arrivals hall.
A restaurant and a few cafés are available at the International terminal, but the domestic terminal only has a café.
Airport facilities
Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport has many lounges – about six in Terminals 1 & 2, and two in the Domestic Terminal. Some of them offer basic business facilities. Meeting rooms are available at nearby hotels.
There is a car park right in front of Terminal 2, and next to the car park is another multi-storey car park.
Car rental companies, including Europcar, are available. Foreigners who are not familiar with Dhaka can choose to hire a driver. Also, making a reservation with a rental company before your trip is strongly recommended.
