Where to stay in Afghanistan

In Kabul there are very few hotels that currently measure up to Western standards; good options are the Kabul Inter Continental, and the Kabul Serena Hotel. Only basic accommodation is available outside Kabul. In some rural areas there may still be hotels run by the provincial authority, but these are of a low standard. You may be able to stay at local tea houses for a small fee.
