Nowruz

One of the most well known celebrations in Iran, Nowruz is the Iranian New Year. Although each community has its own set of activities and celebrations for the holiday, Nowruz is still considered the most important holiday in Iran. It usually last 12 days and is marked by the day that the sun leaves Pisces (the twelfth sign of the zodiac) and enters Aries (the first zodiac sign).
