Cairns Festival

Held over a 10-day period, Festival Cairns features a packed programme of creative, cultural and sporting events. First held in 2002, it has quickly established itself as one of North Queensland's best-loved events. The city becomes a stage of fun and festivities with a mixture of small- and large-scale events taking place in various venues throughout Cairns. Events include food and wine exhibitions, markets, comedy shows, live music performances by guest artists and multicultural and community celebrations that showcase the region's diverse talents. It is also an opportunity to develop the region's creative and cultural industries through workshops, forums and industry development seminars.
